Small and Medium Enterprises are enterprises that are not as big as large enterprises but are bigger than small enterprises.

The term SME is usually used in the European Union while the term PME is used in Canada.

It plays an important role in developing countries, providing employment to nearly 130 million people. They also have higher levels of productivity when compared to larger firms because they have better access to resources such as land, credit, labor, and technology.

Gati is a SME loan facility for meeting regular as well as additional requirements of businesses

Purpose

A loan facility for meeting regular as well as additional requirements of businesses; i.e. it will be part of working capital of the business.

Determination of Limit

• Limit will be determined by the stock and/or volume of sales
• Maximum 80% of the stock value to be financed

Repayment

• Through EMI/ Lump sum

Loan Amount

• Maximum TK 500.00 lac

Tenor

• Maximum 3 (three) years

Security and/or Collateral

• Hypothecation of stock and/or receivables
• Registered mortgage of land & buildings and/or Tripartite agreement for shop and/or business premises and/or any other collateral
